What is Design Thinking?  Tim Brown, the CEO of IDEO, says, “Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from the designer's toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success.” It is an alternative approach to traditional problem solving focusing on innovators (the people) over the innovations (the product). Using a combination of creative and analytical approaches and collaborating across multiple disciplines, design thinking introduces a change in perception to how we can transform business.

Presenter:  Tim Kramer has over 20 years of experience in the IT field and has held roles as a Developer through Project Manager in Government, Software Consulting, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Aerospace Defense & Marine, and Engineering industries. A goal-focused problem solver with business analysis and project management expertise with a strong background in implementing enhanced process improvement projects and providing technology solutions in large and small organizations.

With a focus on aligning business strategy with IT solutions, Tim is currently responsible for leading programs for Digital Engineering for the Communications Solutions business segment. Tim is passionate about the discipline of business analysis and finding ways to transform the business using mindsets such as design thinking to provide value to the organization.
